Small streets, high towers, boats and bridges in a surrealistic style; these are the characteristics of Botty Swart.
In her early youth, drawing was Botty’s favourite pastime. In the years that followed she took up painting. In order to develop and personalise various techniques Botty took lessons from a number of professional artists.
As she paints a whole world opens up where she can give form to all her ideas. The depth in her paintings; the round form and the straight sharp lines give an exceptional and striking effect.
Botty has discovered through her passion for painting and love for architect and shipping a way to create her own unique style.
Inspired by the charm of the Frisian villages in a water rich province Botty has managed to bring exciting and refreshing ideas to canvas.
